After failing a weigh in for the Coast Guard I need to get myself healthy once and for all. Last time I blogged daily I did well. Hopefully this accounting will keep me moving. This is my way of tracking my progress and holding myself accountable to keep me losing weight and not give in to temptations. I want to lose the extra lbs gained over the years. Lets watch and see how I do.

Saturday ride with my sister
Today was fabulous. I rode with my sister for the first time. I am for sure the slow poke in the group LOL. We did 30 miles (wohoo for me) in 2 hrs 36 mins. So we averaged about 45 mins per 10 miles with an average speed of 11.2 I think. It was a great ride and great to ride with my sister. I am glad we finally got to do it. Afterwards we went to get her some bike shorts, helmet (she borrowed my hubby's) and some gloves. She ended up borrowing mine during the ride. Luckily I don't mind riding without my gloves. Tomorrow I will get to ride with hubby which will be great to do a back to back ride and 60 miles total for the weekend.
