Worked out on Monday

I finally got back to the gym yesterday and it felt sooo good. If only it would continue. Today I am at home with a sick 2 year old so tomorrow is a whole new day. Goal for this week is to work out the rest of the week! Go Jessi!

How's it going?! :(

Not good I would say. Although made it through the first holiday without any weight gain I am not doing well for working out. I need to get to the gym. I am hopeing that next week will go better. My work out partner will be back to work. My first mini goal for December is to lose one pant size. I will try for one pant size each month. Sounds reasonable to me. I guess we shall see how next week goes.

This week

So I didn't manage to work out at all this week. Going back to work was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Next week should be better. I am eating fairly well though. Had a home made non greasy taco pizza Thursday night. I had baked chicken, veggies and potates on both Tuesday and Wednesday night. The only downfall this week was the yummy nachos my hubby keeps making me. So not good for me but oh so tasty. Well here is to another week of trying. Hopefully once I start working out more the pounds scale will start moving more.

End of day one :(

So today did not go as well as could be expected. I had fish sticks and macaroni and cheese for dinner. At least I didn't have any soda. Mostly because there isn't any in the house. So shakes aren't my thing and after months of trying to make them work I am throwing in the towel. There has to be another way. Oh yeah I know eating healthy and working out that works, LOL! Okay so next plan is to come up with some healthy food options for grocery day on Wednesday. I have also found that I stress eat and want lots of junk food when I am having a bad day. Note to self.

First Day so far...

So doing fairly well so far. Had my shake for Breakfast, my snack and then my Shake for lunch. A little off on my times but at least I am eating them or rather drinking them. Feeling okay just a little tired from having two sick kids. Poor little things. Lets hope Dinner goes well for us.

Measurements are a much better way to track progress so along with my weight and pant size I took all my measurements and will retake them every other week so see how I am doing. I will post them here so that I can see my progress and how far I have come.

Bust 41.5 inches
Waist 41 inches
Hips 44 inches
Bicep L/R 12/11.5 inches
Thighs L/R 24/23.5 inches
Calf L/R 13 inches for both
Current weight 168 lbs

Picture Posted

So I had Chris take a before picture for me. I figure we will retake the picture every other week or so. That way I can see my progress and when I lose my motivation I can see how far I have come and keep going. Plus it reminds me where I don't like being.

Plan of Attack

I will be working out 5 days a week with my friend and great workout partner Jess. We work together and found that we are great motivators for keeping each other in the gym losing weight. We did this a year ago and I lost 15 lbs and two pant sizes in 8 weeks and was rapidly heading for that size 10 pant when we got pregnant again.
I am going to start my Herbalife again on Monday and use it as a quick way to eat my meals and be healthy. I am hoping it will help me with my program and help achieve more rapid weight loss. My sister who is a distributor swears by it. I usually have a hard time sticking to it but I think the convenience will be a major factor.
I think I might order the chocolate shake on Wednesday because that seems to be my favorite so far. We will see how it goes. I am very optimistic.

Goal rewards

When I get to my first goal of 150 lbs and a size 12 I will take myself and my family out to dinner and order desert without wondering about the calories.
When I reach my second goal I will have to go shopping because I won't have any pants that fit anymore.
When I reach my third goal I will treat myself to a major shopping spree and get a whole new wardrobe.
All of my clothes will get donated as I get out of them and into the next smaller size so they will not stay in my closet to depress me.
I can't wait!

Goals are important to achieve anything. I have goals and I like to stick with them.
I don't want to be the fat mom. I am heading for a new job in 7 months and I want to look and feel my best. I want to set a good example for my kids and feel good in my own skin.
I am more into how I feel than what my weight is. My goal weight is between 120 lbs and 130 lbs. I am currently 168 lbs. I just had a baby which accounts for some of the weight but I have been hovering at 150 lbs for the last 5 years and it is time to say goodbye to those extra love handles. I would like to be a size 6 or 8 in pants, I am currently a size 16.
I have to wear my husbands uniform pants to work because mine don't fit. Very sad to me.
My first goal is to get back down to 150 lbs and a size 12 by the new year. My second goal is to reach 130 lbs and a size 8 by April weigh ins which are usually in the first two weeks of the month. My third goal is to be at my ideal size by the time we travel to Seattle to buy our new home in the beginning of May. So I would like to drop one more pant size in the last month. This way I can show my family how great I look and I will have enough time to order new uniforms for our new job. As a recruiter I believe we need to set a great example of what the Coast Guard is looking for. We should be healthy and in shape and look good in our uniforms.

First Post

I am going to track my progress, and stick to my goals. I am going to use this blog as a sort of diary of how I am doing, what I am eating, my workout schedule and how it is going, etc. This way I can see where I am struggling and where I can improve. I can also track my weight loss progress although my main goal is to reach a size 8 pant. Wish me luck.
